NURSERY WORK

USEFUL DONATIONS

A meeting of the executive com-1 mittee of the Owen Street Residential Nursery was held recently. Mrs. A. B. Gibbons presided. In the matron's report stress was laid upon- the gratitude felt for the acceptable gifts that had been received. The hon. treasurer, Miss Wiltshire, reported .having received donations from the following: Messrs. A. S. Paterson, Mrs. L. O. H. Tripp, Levin and Co., Mrs. J. Adams, Mrs. Bristow, Gear Meat Co., Messrs. Murray, Roberts, Miss Sybil Nathan, estate of the late Mr. G. W. Earp, Lady McGavin, and the Oriental Bay-Rose-neath, Lower Hutt, Khandallah, and Wadestown branches of the Residential Nursery, and also the Island Bay circle. There was a large attendance of members at the meeting of the management committee. Representatives of the various branches outlined work done and efforts to be made shortly to augment the funds. Special votes of thanks were accorded to the Oriental Bay-Roseneath, Wellington South. Lower Hutt, and Kelburn-Northland branches for most acceptable and valuable gifts of groceries. The thanks of the matron and committee f were also expressed to the following donors for gifts in kind: Mesdames Ross, Porter, Brown, Yann, Irvine, Harris, Hewitt, Goldsmith, Huggins, A. B. Gib-. bons, R. P. Levien (Karori), Alex Johnson, Misses Plummer, Freeman, Compton, Sheppard, and Mr. Irvine.
