Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., report on holding a very successful clearing sale on May 17, on account of Messrs. Sievers Bros., South Makara, Wellington. There was a large attendance of buyers, and stock came forward in excellent order, S.M. ewes, early shorn, good frame and'showing well in lamb, 305,6 d; gelding, 4 years, £38 10s; mare, 5 years, with filly foal at foot, £51; mare, aged, in foal, £7 ss; gelding, aged, £10; ,cows, autumn calvers, £7, £7 12s P,d, £8, £8 ss, £9 2s 6d, £10, £10 17s 6d, to £13; cows in milk, £6 5s to £9 2s 6d; cows, spring calvers, £5 12s 6d to £7; heifers, small,, spring calvers, £4 12s 6d to £5 17s 6d; yearling heifers, £2 6s to £3 8s 6d.

CAPITAL.
Shareholders of Claude Neon (N.Z.), Ltd., at a special meeting on Wednesday decided to increase the capital of the company to £100,000 by the creation of 40,000 additional £1 shares. Of the new shares, 14,010 are to be offered to shareholders at a premium of 2s 6d each, in the proportion of one share for every four shares held on May 19
