LOCATED IN DESERT

: SYDNEY, May 23. A message from Alice Springs, Central Australia, states that two Air Force planes and a motor-truck party began a search for Sir Herbert Gepp and the aerial survey party which was forced down last week. The plane was found at 2 p.m. today. All are safe. The country where the plane is stranded is inhospitable and waterless. The party, which had emergency rations for three days, includes, in addition to Sir Herbert, Mr. P. B. Nye. Both are executive officers of the North Australia geophysical survey, and were engaged on an inspection flight.
