MOST STRENUOUS SEASON

IN DOCK FOR OVERHAUL

The Tasman express liner Awatea entered dock at the weekend for overhaul, which will occupy nine weeks, after the most strenuous season a British vessel has ever undertaken. Since September 15 last year the Awatea has made 61 Tasman crossings and has covered 82,440 miles and carried approximately 25,000 passengers.
