Guards, both, past' and present, contributed to the cost-of-the memorial, which takes the form of a mosaic step and screen in front of the altar of the chapel.
Professor Otto Schmidt,-leader ofthe SoviefcArcticAir-Expedition, which has landed near the North Pole. He proposes to establish a base near the Ppleand remain there,for aycar for scientific research.
