REMAND ON FRAUD CHARGE

Charged with obtaining from Mary Dillon on May 19 a lady's frock valued at £4 14s 6d, and £5 5s 6d in money, by means of a false cheque for £10 purporting to be drawn on the Union Bank of Australia, Wellington, by Todd Motors, George Crompton Mansfield, labourer and engineer, appeared before Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. Detective-Ser-geant P. Doyle said the accused had been arrested yesterday by Detectives W. Fell and T. Brosnan. ' , A remand until June 2 was granted.
