"CORONATION FAIR"
Considerable excitement reigned among the boys and girls ; in a corner of Miramar on Saturday afternoon when two small boys, Alan Barnett and Norman Robinson, held a "Coronation Fair" In aid of the King George V Memorial Fund. The fair took place on a back lawn and comprised a sweets stall, a vegetable -stall, a ladies' stall with handkerchiefs arid knick-knacks, a flower stall, a book stall, and a stall \ h scones; cakes, and pikelets in yvhich, of course, mother's hand was to be seen. Competitions were held also. The boys erected the Stalls themselves with timber and sacks, and each boy had his own counter from which to sell the goods. About fifteen children were present. Business wag brisk, and some having' spent their money ran eagerly home for more. How much credit is due to the children concerned will be appreciated by reason of the fact that the children's fair will benefit the Mayor's fund to the extent, of £1 10s 2d.
