A MEAN THEFT
FIRST-AID GEAR
What is surely the' meanest form of theft occurred recently in Petone; On the night of May 16 the ambulance room at the Petone Recreation Ground was broken into and a large quantity of first-aid kit stolen. "Just picture what this means," commented an officer. "An accident occurs. The injuries are of a serious nature. The 'First-aider* dashes to the ambulance room only to find that the necessary kit required has been stolen, and his ability to deal with the case impaired to such an extent that a human life may be lost. If the person or persons who committed this mean theft read this they can just think of the possible result from their action, and at least lessen the seriousness of their offence by returning the materials they took away."
