FLOWER PINS
Flower pins are worn In the.' evening upon smart heads. They consist of a double pin of. tortoiseshell decorated with a jewelled, enamelled, or gilt flower-head upon the top; They certainly solve the problem of how to keep flower decorations in place, and are easier to manage than clips.
Small birds, complete with coloured plumage, are also worn at the side of the hair. When well placed they are becoming as well as smart, but unless the wearer, is beautifully ''turned out" in every detail the effect is apt to look rather incongruous.
Handbags ally suede and leather very successfully—both .in the same shade. Every type of animal skin is used for them, too. You can match an ostrich-hide bag with shoes; lion-skin bag with gloves; and leguan bag with belt, Most winter bags have handles'' cut out of their own leather, and flaps adorned with ihe popular initials.
