LATER CASUALTY REPORT
(Received April 12, 1.15 p.m.) NEW DELHI, April "11. The casualties in the frontier encounter are now known to be seven British officers killed and five wounded, and '12 other ranks killed and 40 wounded.
The fight lasted for nine hours, and the enemy losses were heavy. The scene of the clash was the western end of Shahur Tangi Gorge, 500 feet deep, through which three armoured cars, an aeroplane, and infantryl were convoying a supply column of 55 lorries, all of which were saved. - '
