-Turner and-1 Brand are two outstanding full-backs. Turner is also a useful wing and Brand a.good centre. : '. ;

The forwards' weights range from 13st to 15st51b, but Bergh is 16st 21b. The centres are. a forceful quartet arid likely to improve as the tour proceeds. . The wings are speedy, and thrustful, especially ■ .whose during the trials were most impressive..
The question of-stand-off halves gave the selectors a. great deal, of trouble, as there is. no Bennie Osier in the offing.
