INQUIRY IN MEXICO CITY

MEXICO CITY, April 11.' A commission representative of North and South America, headed by the noted philosopher Dr. John Dewey, has opened an inquiry as to whether M. Leon Trotsky plotted for the overthrow of vthe Soviet or aided Germany and Japan.

Counsel, questioning Trotsky, elicited a reaffirmation of his complete innocence. He explained his expulsion from Russia because he fought "against any ruling class with new privileges and uncontrolled power."
