V.-.Macdonald, was welcomed by numerous friends. "Mrs. E. Penrose-FitzGerald, lately returned from Lima, meeting many' people whom she knew, was accompanied by her husband; they have come to settle in- London. The Hon. Mr. Justice Blair, Mrs. Blair, Professor W: B. Benham, .Captain J. J. Cameron, Mrs. Cameron, Dr. and Mrs. J.. Condliffe, Sir Cecil Day, and Mrs. W. H. Parkes, Lady Myers with her younger daughter, and Lady and Miss Herdman were among those who met many friends. Heads of the High Commissioner's Department and many of the.staff were present. . ■ .'.''■'.
