MINING RETURNS
The White's Electric Gold .Dredging Company's official return for the week ended April 9 was 18oz of gold from 8300 yards treated in 129 hours' dredging time. The New River Gold Dredging Company's official return for the ten days ended April 8 was 740z of gold from 12,000 yards treated in 179 hours' dredging time. The Nemona Gold Dredging Co., Ltd., give the following return for the week ended April 9:—Yield, 71Joz; hours dredged, 127; yardage treated, 1000. ■ ■ ■ ■.. ■
' Big- River Gold Mines Limited have issued the following .report lor the weekending April 6:— • ■ Nos. 1; and 4 Levels.—Repairs were, carried out in these levels. No. 5 intermediate north drive: This was advanced 12ft through mixed stone and country rock. No. 5 level, south drive: Stripped out 3ft of stone for 9ft on the footwall side and timbered up the face, placing backing-up sets so that a winze can be sunk on the hangingwall side. About 4ft of stone is showing in the face; 25J tons of stone Were delivered to the surface bins.
