THE BEEF-EATERS
South Americans, instead of Britons, deserve the title of "beef-eaters," agricultural department statisticians say. Reporting that the annual per capita consumption of beef had declined in the United Kingdom and '■ in United States of America since 1934 while advancing in Argentina and' other parts of South America, they recently announced these estimates:—Argentina, 296 pounds a person; Canada, "66.1; Great Britain, 63.5; and the United States, 41.4.
