OPAKI V. PETONE

The Opaki Rifle Club entertained the Petone Rifle Club in a teams match at the weekend at Masterton, the ranges being 300, 500, and 600 yards. The weather was fine, but the sighting was very difficult. Mr. H. K. Smith, president of the Opaki Club, extended a welcome to all of the visitors. Mr. W. Jackson, president of the Petone Club, suitably replied. Top score for the day was registered

by H. Nickless (Petone),-. with 102 out of 105, with H, King (Opaki).second with 100. The twelve highest scores counted for the team- shoot, which resulted in a win-for Opaki by 16 points, the score.-being ,1158 to; 1140. ; The following are the results:— .
