WOOL AT WANGANUI
PRICES UP ON LAST SALE
(By Telegraph.— l'resg''.Association.! WANGANUI, This Day. At the final wool sale of the Wanganui series this morning there was an offering of 9000 bales, and .the early indications were for a good ending to a very satisfactory season for wool "growers. - •
A complete clearance was made of the first catalogue of 1161 bales by the Farmers'. Co-operative Organisation Society. Prices for average fleece wools were 3d to 4d per pound better than at the last sale in March. Lambs' wool was Id to 2d better, Southdown 2id to 3£d, and bellies and pieces Id to 3d. Bidding was well spread between tine Continent, Japan, and Bradford. ■■■'•' : .-.
The bulk of the offering in all catalogues .consisted of binned wool which is usually disposed of in the last sale of the season. ,
