CARS IN. COLLISION
FOUR -PEOVLE INJURED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 11. Four, adults were injured when three motor-cars, carrying nine people, were involved in a collision at the corner of the Great South Road arid Panmure Road.on Saturday afternoon. All the injured were the occupants of one of the vehicles, a small sedan. A baby in arms in the same car was uninjured. Two of the injured persons were admitted to hospital. They were:— .
Mrs. Ada Blcckley, Otahuhu.. concussion and other- injuries; condition fairly serious. Mr. George Blockley, Otahuhu, shoulder injuries, condition,not serious. -.
After treatment at the casualty, ward Mr. and Mrs. Mann, Otahuhu, were able to proceed home. The accident'occurred when a large sedan motor-car travelling along the Great South Road in the direction of Auckland was crossing the road to enter a service station on the corner of Panmure Road. Another large sedon car, travelling south towards Penrose, struck the back of the. first vehicle, glanced-off to the right-hand side of the road, and was involved in a violent collision with a small sedan.
Both front wheels of .the smaller car I were buckled, the mudguards were twisted,, and the engine and bonnet driven back along the chassis.
