DOMAIN "FOR SALE"

AUCKLAND HUMOUR

(By Telegraph—Press Association.)

AUCKLAND, This Day,

"This property for sale" was the wording on a notice board observed at noon today on the £10,000 ornamental gateway leading to the Domain. The notice did not even state "this valuable property," just the bare, intimation for sale with the name of a well-known city land agent. It was evidently the nocturnal work of a practical joker capitalising the recent public controversy over the nudity of one of the figures on the ornamental gateway. . The majesty of the law soon arrived in the person of a constable, who, with some difficulty, removed the notice from, its elevated position.
