COLLEGE CRICKET
HUTT AND WAIRARAPA
The annual cricket .match between the first eleven of the Wairarapa and Hutt Valley High Schools commenced on the Hutt Valley grounds yesterday. Wairarapa batted first and compiled the useful total of 171 runs, J; Alexanderand W. ; Thomson being the most successful batsmen. Hut failed badly, being troubled by the failing light, and when stumps were drawn seven wickets were down 'for 34 runs. Tha game will be continued today. , Details are :as follows:—
Bowling: Dunn took four wickets for 48 runs, Smith two for 23, Fairbaim two for 27, Pointon one. for 28, Rangiwhetu one for 35, Kennedy none for 6. HUTT VALLEY.
