The police of Pardubice, Eastern Bohemia, have discovered a thief who steals nothing but boots for the left foot. These he alters so that they can be worn on either foot. He was detected after making a good haul at a winter sports centre in ,\he Giant Mountains, where numbers of sportsmen suddenly found themselves without a ski-boot for the left foot. Ski: boots, the man pointed out, did not need much alteration to make them wearable on either foot.
