WEIGHT-LIFTING
In order to further Improve the standard of weight-lifting, the Australian Association- has instituted a medal system whereby its members may win gold, silver, and bronze medals for lifting a certain total in the three Olympic lifts. • Mr; Mark Lewis, the secretary of the association, now advises that the medal scheme is also open to .members of, the New Zealand Association. Touring England, France, and New Zealand with Australian Rugby League teams is becoming a habit with Harry Sunderland. It is stated that H. Sunderland will be Queensland's representative to manage the "Kangaroos" to tour England and France this year and should that be the case it will be the fifth occasion on which he has filled a managerial position with an Australian team, three times to England, including two tours of France and twice to New Zealand.
