Ideal conditions for bowling, in spite of the lateness of the season, enabled the .finalists in. the. Wellington Bowling Centre's Easter jinks tournament to make a good showing on the Kelburn green today; ' An entire ab-, sence of' -wind coupled with warm atmospheric, conditions made drawing accurate, and the excellent'- condition of the green ' allowed the players to ■give the full measure of their skill. :

The tournament was postponed on Easter Monday because of rain, arid three rounds of section play had to be decided' last Saturday. Seven rinks qualified for post-section play, from the four sections, and,six of these met for the first.games at 8.30 this morning, the seventh having a bye. .The clubs represented were Karori (2), Kelburn, Wellington, Hutt,. Lyall Bay, and Hataitai. Kelburn, Hutt, and Hataitai were eliminated during the forenoon arid the" four remaining rinks commenced the semi-final games at midday.
