CRICKET TEST
N.Z. V. ENGLAND
DETAILS DISCUSSED
The New Zealand Cricket Council's decision to make provision for a Test match between the English and New Zealand representatives at Wellington is regarded with complete satisfaction by the Wellington Cricket Association.
At last night's meeting of the association, the chairman (Mr. J. H. Phillipps) • said it was the first time. Wellington had been favoured with a.match between an English Test side and a representative New Zealand eleven. The association hopes to arrange for extra temporary accommodation at the Basin Reserve.
Preliminary details were discussed, and a scale of admission charges was agreed upon. These are to be referred to the New Zealand council for its approval. ;
A motion extending congratulations to the four Wellington cricketers selected to represent New Zealand on • the English tour was carried.
