PETONE CLUB

The Petone Rifle Club held another of its weekly shoots at Trentham on Saturday, the results counting for the club championship, the fourth series, the Jackson bullet team competition, and the Flaws, Burridge, and Longfieid handicap aggregates cups. The range for the day was 300 yards. The'weather was overcast with one period' of misty rain, otherwise conditions were good. ' - -'- ■ - '

Th-; club standard for 300 yards, is 46, and this total was equalled or. bettered, in seventeen different scores with five scores of 45. The outstanding range scores.were made by W. H. Ballinger ■ and R. H. Nicholl, 49 each; O Pedersen, T. McNab, and J. C. Carter, 48 each. Ballinger, Pedersen, McNab, Nickless, and Scambary also made 47 each. The outstanding totals for the day were made by W, H. Ballinger, 96; O. Pedersen, T. McNab, 95 each; R. H. Nicholl, 94; H. Nickless. and W. Scambary, 92 each. ' The club competitions will be continued on March 13 at 800 yards, there being no club shooting next Saturday owing to the National Rifle Association meeting being held over this date.
