REMAINING "DEAD"

A man legally dead for seven years returned to his job as a farm hand recently, satisfied to remain "deM." He is John. Kachnycz, who left his home in Pittsburgh (U.S.A.), in 1929 to work on farms in western Pennsylvania. Subsequently- a ■ friend identified the picture of a man killed in a quarrel as Kachnycz.. A man was tried for murdering him and was acquitted. Neighbours collected benefits under insurance policies on Kachnycz's life. Then, he came back. He tried unsuccessfully to find the man who had been accused of murdering him. • He told the Courts he was still alive; But the legal technicalities of "returning to life" were too gueat for him. Kachnycz said goodbye to his friends and went back to his job on a farm. He is still dead, as far as court records are concerned. '
