PRICES OF EGGS.
The prices of eggs on the Wellington wholesale market today were quoted at Is lid and 2s a dozen for first grade and 2s Id for super.
Provisional contracts involving sums of approximately £136,000 and £200,000 have been signed by the Mayor of Canton and representatives of United Kingdom firms for the extensive improvement of the Canton Waterworks and the provision of trolley buses. Also an agreement involving the purchase of railway material to the value of £900,000 has been initialled between a British firm in China and the Chinese Ministry of Railways.
