Application for the 3f pier cent, stock or debentures (series B) (of the State Advances Corporation are' still being received. The issue is at rpar and the stock and debentures are repayable on June 1, 1944. They are guaranteed as to principal and interest jby the Government of New Zealand and are authorised as a trustee investment.

Directors of Swan Brewery, Perth, are submitting to shareholders proposals that each of the ordinary shares of 25s each be divided into5 five shares of 5s each fully paid; that 'the capital of the company be increased to £565,400 by the creation of 350 000 ordinary shares of 5s each, tanking for dividend, etc., pari passu wiVth the proposed subdivided shares, and that 340,363 of the new shares offered at a premium of 2s to ordinary shareholders in the proportion df one for one now held.
