MISS NORTON'S EASY WIN

SYDNEY, February 28.

In a swimming carnival at Manly on Saturday J. Medica won the mile championship of New South Wales in 21min 41sec. N. -Ryan, in 22min 3sec was second, and M. Geering, 23min 22sec, third. R. Newbiggen broke the State junior record for 440 yards, by 13 2-ssec, his time being smin 6sec.

At'the women's carnival at Coogee, the Olympic representative, Miss Pat Norton,, won the 100 yards free-style championship of New South Wales in very easy manner in lmin 4 3-ssec.
