VOGELMQRN CLUB

The annual meeting: of the Vogel-' morn Indoor Bowling Club was held recently,-Mr. J. Staples presiding./ The. report showed that the past year had been a satisfactory one, the club enjoying success in its matches and tournaments. A monthly triangular competition between the Brooklyn R.S.A., Cleveland Lodge, and Vogeknorn, for. the Challenge Cup, had resulted in the R.S-A. Club winning' four tournaments and the Vogeknorn four. In a play-off the Vogelmorn Club had succeeded in gaining the trophy. The result of the club's championships was as follows:—Ladies' singles: Mrs. C. H. Backhouse. Men's singles: Mr. G. Mullins. Pairs: Messrs. J Wilkinson and A. Mills. Aggregate competition: Ladies, Mrs. A. Mills; men, Mr. W. Rice. Singles competition: Mr. C. Dryden. ;,

The finances of the club were in a: sound, position, a credit of £14 18s 9d being recorded. '

The following officers were elected for the 1937 season:—Patron, Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P.; president, Mr. J; Staples; vice-presidents, Mesdames C. Dryden and W. Rice; club captain, Mr. C. Russell; club vice-captain, Mr. S. Hodgson; secretary, Mr. A. L. Mills; treasurer, Mr. J. M. Russell; auditor; Air. C. Mason. ,
