BREWERY PROFITS.
Profits of the Foster Brewing Com, nany Melbourne, for the half-year ended January 31 amount to £7880, compared with £5900 in the previous six months. The company's principal source of income is from 124,573 fc 1 shares in the Carlton and United Brew"shamrock Brewing and Malting Co., Ltd., Melbourne, is the second of the holding companies of Carlton and United Breweries to record a higher profit in 1936. As a result of the increased distributions by the operating company, the profit for the year is £14 780, as against £11,740 for 1935. Dividends at the rate of 9J per cent.i require £13,420, compared with 6.6 per' cent, last year. , ;
