CRITICAL INJURY
ACCIDENT WITH RIFLE

GREYMOUTH, February 28.
James Logan, aged Hi, son of Mr. R. J. Logan, printer, was critically wounded in the head about 4 o'clock this afternoon, as the result of the accidental discharge of a .303 rifle.
Logan was.playing with another boy, Lee Silcock, at Silcock's home, Marsden Road. They were pointing rifles at .each 'other when Silcock's was discharged, Logan receiving the full-force. He was taken to hospital and is not expected to recover. Silcock's parents recently took possession of the house, and the cartridges and rifles were awaiting sorting in an outhouse; Both evidently went to the outhouse during the absence of the parents of Silcock and loaded the rifles. ■ .
