TILYARD IN .FORM

A splendid batting display by J. Tilyard, a former All Black captain, was a feature of play in the cricket, match between teams representing the Christchurch and Wellington Tramways, which commenced today at Kilbirnie Eeserve. Tilyard's performance was outstanding in that other members of the Wellington team could not get going to any extent; in fact, when the luncheon adjournment was taken Tilyard had made 87 not out and the next highest score in a total of 147 for eight wickets was 14.
