WELLINGTON ATTRACTION
THREE-DAY MATCH

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
The .M.C.C. cricket team, captained by G. O. Allen, will play a three-day Test against New Zealand, at Wellington, commencing on March 24. An "announcement to this effect was made this morning by Mr. A. T. Donnelly, chairman of the management committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council.
. ■ Mr. Donnelly said.' that the Arawa, on which the New Zealand team was travelling to England, would not leave for London until the ' evening of March 27. It had therefore been arranged, with the consent of the manager and,, the captain of the M.C.C. ■ team, to play a match against the New Zealand team in Wellington instead of against a Wellington provincial team, as previously arranged. The dates for ■..this- match, .were: Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, March 24, 25, and 27. .:
" If 'arrangements could be made to postpone the sailing of the Mariposa until the evening of April 3, the M.C.C. match against Auckland. would be played on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, April 1, 2, and 3. The M.C.C. team will arrive in Wellington from Sydney on March 17, and that morning will be accorded a reception by the Prime Minister. It was. also .announced by Mr. .Donnelly that H.G. Vivian, of Auckland, had been appointed vice-captain of the New Zealand team to visit England. -"
