Mrs. J. N. Greenland, wife of the general manager of the Union Steam Ship Company, who since her arrival from Auckland early- last year has been living at Williscourt Flats, Oriental Terrace,-has taken a.lease of Mr. Justice Callan's house' at 4& Hobson Street.

Miss Ethel Oldbury-Jones, Wellington, will leave for Auckland next week to connect with the Monterey for California. She will spend a month motoring in the United States before leaving from New York on the Queen Mary. Miss Jones- will arrive in London in time for the Coronation festivities.
Mrs. H. E. Taylor-Young, London, who has been visiting her son, Commander W. Taylor-Young, of H.M.S. Achilles, and Mrs. Taylor-Young, is at present at the Hermitage, Mount Cook. She has just concluded a tour of the East and Australia.

Mr and Mrs. J. Morton Troup, 74 Glen Road, Kelburn, left last night to spend a holiday in Dunedin as the guests of Mr. Justice Kennedy. Miss Alice Reid, who has been the guest of Mrs. T. P. Fothpringham, Central Terrace, is on her way back to the' East Coast.
Mrs W. H. Coy, Island Bay, has returned from a visit to the Wairarapa, where she was the guest, of Mrs. Read, Riverside, Te Wharau,'Masterton .
Mrs. G. W. Mclntosh, Wellington, arrived in Auckland on Thursday,' and is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. J. F. Ewen,' Remuera Road.
Mrs. D. M. Wheeler is a Wellington visitor to Auckland.
Mrs. R. Joynt, Wellington, who has been staying with Mrs. Skeet, Fapamoa, near Te Puke, has returned home.
Mrs. E. G. Martin was a Wellington passenger on the Monterey, which left Auckland yesterday for Sydney.
