CASH ORDERS (AMALGAMATED).

The directors of Cash Orders (Amalgamated) Ltd., Sydney, have decided foitsue immediately 100,000 preference shares of £1 each. They be offered at. par to shareholders in the proportion of 16 to every 100 ordinary shares held. In January the directors announced that the turnover for the six months ended December 31 was £787,059, compared with £412,912 for the corresponding period of the previous year, representing an increase of 90 per cent. They now state that since January 1, 1937, the turn, over has continued to- improve at a still more rapid rate. A considerable volume of additional profitable business is offering, and the directors have decided upon a policy •of further expansion of the company's business in New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria, but for the time being do not intend to extend beyond those three States.
