ARBUTHNOT AT BERLIN
OPPONENT TOO SPEEDY
VIRILE ARGENTINIAN
Cnitccl Tress Association—By . Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received August 12, 2 p.m.) BERLIN, August 11. Additional results of the boxing at the Olympic Games are:— WELTERWEIGHT. Second Heat.—R. Rodriguez (Argentina) outpointed T. Arbuthnot (New Zealand). ' Second Heat—Ferdinand Havelka (Czechoslovakia) outpointed L. Harley (Australia). ' , The special representative of the Australian Associated Press agency reports that Rodriguez, a quicufooted, virile fighter, dashed into the attack from the gong and immediately had Arbuthnot in trouble. He was far too fast for ' the New Zealander, who rarely landed a decent punch. . Arbulhnot never appeared to recover from the< hammering he received in the first round. Cook's win yesterday was insufficiently convincing to suggest that he would go further and it was no surprise when the judges decided in favour or t>uvio, who dominated the fight throughout.
