PRISON FARE
Prisoners in the cells at Edinburgh police headquarters arc faring fairly well for, on the recommendation of the Scottish office, they are to be served with three meals daily, with the choice of courses. Sample menus include:— Breakfast: Porridge and milk, rolls and butter, tea or coffee, an egg or sausage. Dinner: Soup and bread, mince and potatoes, stew, vegetables, and potatoes, pudding. Tea: Tea, bread and butter, corned beef or fish.
