SMILING FAREWELL
ARCHIE COMPSTON IN PARTY
LONDON, August 10. The "Daily Mail's" Belgrade correspondent says that King Edward's party aboard the Nahlin includes Archie Compston, the British golfer, who will accompany the party throughout the cruise as trainer, using the deck for putting, pitching, and even drives. There are 3000 golf balls aboard, most of which, if is anticipated, will be lost overboard. Compston has frequently tutored the King in the past. There is also fishing tackle aboard, and it is expected that the King will enjoy bathing, fishing, and sunbathing in the quiet inlets with which the coast abounds.
The Nahlin, accompanied by British and Yugoslav destroyers, steamed southward into a heat haze, with the King, in a flannel suit and straw hat. leaning over the stern rail, smiling and waving to peasants.
