(Received August 12, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 11. Derbyshire and Yorkshire ' both scored outright wins ml the county cricket matches which were completed today, while Kent were beaten on the first innings by Sussex, who ran up the big score' of 554 in the first innings, J. Parks making 197. , ::

A good "double" with the bat was scored by Paynter, who made 84 and 123 not out for Lancashire against Nottinghamshire. Others who scored well were Hendren (Middlesex) and Keeton (Notts). ■■■~.. Copson and Mitchell were responsible for' Derbyshire twice dismissing Leicestershire cheaply and Verity (Yorkshire) was among others who secured good figures. THE RESULTS. The results were:— Surrey v. Middlesex, at the Oval.— Surrey 307 (Fishlock 75) and 173 for seven. Middlesex 317 • (Hendren 115). Middlesex won. on the first innings. Sussex v. Kent, at Hastings.—Sussex 554 (J. Parks 197; Ashdown five for 60). Kent 288(Fagg 55) and, following on, 88 for none. Sussex won on the first innings. Worcestershire v. Essex, at Chelmsford.—Worcestershire 159 (Fames four for 38) and 315 (P. Smith eight for 155). Essex 230 (Howorth six for 86) and 1 for none. Essex won on the first innings. Yorkshire v. Warwickshire, at Bradford—Yorkshire 236 (Wood 81) and 193 for four, declared (Barber 83 not out). Warwickshire 127 and 260 (Verity seven' for 74). Yorkshire won by 42 runs. . : ' Leicestershire v.
