TWO MONTHS MISSING
BOYS RETURN HOME
v ENTRAPPED IN CAVE
(Received August 12, 9.50 a.m.) DURBAN, August 11. Two months ago two boys who were herding goats in the Drakenberg Mountains were overwhelmed in a snowstorm and took refuge with their flocks in an unexplored cave, the mouth of which was blocked by an avalanche. Till their matches ran out they cooked goat flesh, and afterwards they ate the meat raw. Another avalanche cleared the exit, and the half-blinded boys crept to their homes, where long before they had been given up as dead.
