GOLD DISCOVERY

fCENTRAL AUSTRALIAN FIELD

CANBERRA, August 11. Official advice has been received from Tennant's jCreek goldfield, Central Australia, that traces of gold have been discovered in iron ore at a depth of between 200 and 300 feet which was located by geophysical means. The discovery is regarded as most important because it indicates that instead of the fiefd being a shallow one with a short life, values might be found at a considerable depth.
