PORT OF MANCHESTER

Under the auspices of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, a short address, illustrated by moving pictures dealing with the Port of Manchester, is to be given by Mr. Noel V. Wade at the Plaza Theatre tomorrow at 11.15 a.m. The object of Mr. Wade's address is to put forward the claims of Manchester for direct shipments of New Zealand products to its port and the loading at that port of cargo for direct shipment' to New Zealand. Manchester serves an industrial population of over 10,000,000 within a radius of 50 miles from its port.

The Wellington Presbytery last evening expressed its sympathy in the loss of his wife with Mr. W. H. Carroll, at present of Cheviot, but until recently Presbyterian home missionary at Otaki.
