BRITISH SAILORS' SOCIETY

A concert of .outstanding merit was given at the • rooms of the British Sailors' Society on Thursday last by Mr. W. J. Mountjoy, jun., and party to a large and most enthusiastic audience of seamen and. friends. Every item, was encored/Recitations and monologues were given by Mrs. W. J. Mountjoy, Irish melodies by Mr. Ben O'Brien, vocal solos by Miss Mifanwy Davies and Mr. S. Northcote Bade, and humorous recitations and monologues by Messrs. Len Crothers, Nat Beatus, Peter Sellers, and Masters K. Dudson and G. Seward. Some very fine exhibition dances were also contribute, d .by Miss Hilary Henderson. £.t the conclusion' of the programme a vote of thanks to Mr. Mountjoy and party, was carried with acclamation, supper was served by the workers, and the evening brought to a close with the singing of "God Save the King." Mrs. F. C- Collins was the accompanist.
