SYNOPSIS OF LAST 48 HOURS.
■While pressure has remained relatively high, over northern New Zealand, a series of westerly depressions has continued to pass in the south. Consequently, moderate to strong northwest to westerly winds have predominated, and In districts with a westerly aspect conditions have been changeable with rain at times. In eastern areas, on the other hand, the weather has been mainly fine, and temperatures generally have been' mild or moderate. ■
