TRUCKS DERAILED
HOLD-UP :ON MAIN TRUNK

MARTON, This Day
Five trucks were derailed *on a northbound goods train between Greatford and Martqn early this morning, and disorganised services, the permanent way. . being blocked. Tho southbound Limited was held at Marton till 6.30, the passengers transhipping at the scene of the mishap. The trucks were later jacked off the line, which was not damaged, and normal services resumed. .
Mr. G. J. Burtinshaw, the engineer in chief of the maintenance branch, and Mr. P. R. Angus, the locomotive superintendent, in charge of the locomotives operating on the site, left immediately to investigate the derailment. As is usual in such cases, if the cause is not immediately determinal an inquiry board will be set up.
