DRUNK IN CHARGE
A charge of being intoxicated in charge of a motor-car, against Harry Hall-Kenny, was heard by Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., today. The accused, who was defended by Mr. W. Heine, was fined £15 and his .licence was suspended for twelve months.
Mr. Heine said that the defendant had driven from Eltham on Friday night and had had very little sleep. He had a busy day on Saturday and after attending a football match had gone to a football reunion in the evening. At a dance afterwards, he had Tiad a few drinks and being pvacticaly a teetotaller what he had had affected him more than it otherwise should have done. The small ear which he was driving had put out the tail light of a taxi, and because he had refused to pay 17s Gel, the taxi-driver had issued a complaint. The defendant had never been in any kind of trouble before.
