The Assembly has voted 5,0p0,000 Turkish pounds for the refortification of. the Dardanelles. Of this, 1,200,000 pounds is being expended on guns and ammunition. • V
The Turkish currency unit is a lira of 100 piastres of a nominal value of 18s in British currency.
