CHRISTCHURCH, August' 6. The New Zealand sparrow championship resulted in a win for R: S. Taylor. W. Patterson was the only other man to shoot the. possible 15 birds, and in the shoot-off over five birds each man missed, twice. Three more' birds had to be taken before the men could, be separated. Taylor taking all of his on the first barrel. Patterson used the second barrel > once, but missed 'the third bird. -: ■• --. •
