SUMMONS CASES
Summons cases were dealt with by Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today.
For committing a breach of the Second-hand Dealers' Act, Ralph Forbes was convicted and discharged! Anna Knight was fined £2 and costs, and Gerald Homan 30s and costs, for being on licensed premises after hours.
G. R. McKay, Ltd., were fined £1 and costs for having unguarded machinery.
For selling a short quantity of milk, Mrs. Annette Tweddell was fined 10s and costs. .
Ava Mary Holland was ordered to pay costs for keeping her shop open after 8 p.m.
Convicted for permitting the consumption of liquor after hours, Albert Wilfred Harris,, licensee of the Pier Hotel, was fined £3 and costs.
